METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING OPERATING STATE OF CONTACTOR AND CONTACTOR FOR IMPLEMENTING THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for diagnosing wear of a contactor without a sensor and provide the contactor using the method.

SOLUTION: The contactor comprises: a processing unit 2 designed to act on voltage control means 20; at least one actuating coil 3; measurement means 24 for at least one electric characteristic of the actuating coil 3; and at least one free wheel diode D1 which is connected in parallel with the actuating coil 3 and the measurement means 24. The method includes: transmitting a drop-out instruction which contains fixing drop-out voltages at terminals L1, L2 of the actuating coil 3; measuring the electric characteristic of the actuating coil 3 during a drop-out time; reconstituting at least one specific value from the measurement; comparing the specific value with a specific initial operation reference value of the contactor; and diagnosing the state of wear of the contactor.
