<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material charging device, capable of preventing adhesion of a powdery solid raw material by a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The material charging device 200 includes: a body portion (second input shoot 214); an input port (lower opening 214b) provided in the body portion to guide a granular solid raw material group A supplied from a raw material storage unit toward a reaction device (gasification furnace 114); an injection nozzle 218 which inject a fluid toward the input port; and a tubular throat member 220 covering a part of the inner periphery of the body unit and the inner periphery of the input port, the throat member capable of distributing the solid raw material group A and the fluid injected from the injection nozzle 218.
