<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing method and a heat sealing apparatus by which clear printing can be performed when printing is performed in a sealing region upon completion of sealing. <P>SOLUTION: By applying laser processing onto a surface of an elastic body 52, a plurality of recess sections 21 having shapes corresponding to printed information are formed on the surface. The elastic body 52 is set on one end surface of one of a first pressing section 4 and a second pressing section 5 for press-holding a sealing region of the sealed object FB and a forming surface of the elastic body 52 is opposed to the sealed object FB. Under this condition, the sealed object FB is press-held between the first pressing section 4 and the second pressing section 5 and then heat-fused. Thus, the heat-fused sealed object FB enters the plurality of recess sections 21 and a plurality of protruding sections 22 having shapes corresponding to the plurality of recess sections 21 are formed on the sealing region upon completion of sealing.
