<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weighted bicycle crank arm for compensating for a part of pedaling force of a rider, especially when the bicycle starts moving or the bicycle is running uphill at low speed, and preventing the appearance from being impaired as compared with an existing bicycle. <P>SOLUTION: The weighted bicycle crank arm 1 includes: a right crank arm 11 and a left crank arm 12 (a pair of crank arms) which are turnably pivoted across a body of a bicycle B with pedals 13 shifted at 180° from each other, and a weight 10 mounted on the left crank arm 12 so as to be rotated as the left crank arm 12 is rotated. In a no-load and stationary state, the center of gravity position G of the weight 10 is located below the center C of rotation on the perpendicular A, and the pair of crank arms are balanced at the position inclined in the rotational direction for advancing the bicycle B by the predetermined angle, respectively, with respect to the perpendicular A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
