PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive polymer suspension for providing a high conductivity polymer material and a production method therefor, and to especially provide a solid electrolytic capacitor of low ESR and a manufacturing method therefor.

SOLUTION: The production method of a conductive polymer suspension includes: a first step for synthesizing a conductive polymer by performing chemical oxidation polymerization of a monomer giving a conductive polymer by using an oxidizer, in a solvent containing a first dopant composed of an organic acid or salt thereof; a second step for refining the conductive polymer; a third step for adding a second dopant, mixing the oxidizer, and then adding a third dopant and mixing the oxidizer in an aqueous solvent containing the refined conductive polymer; and a fourth step for obtaining a conductive polymer suspension by performing ion-exchange processing of a mixture obtained in the third step.
