<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently producing a decomposition saccharide from xylan. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a production method for xylose, xylobiose and/or xylooligosaccharide, comprising a step (1) of adding compression shear stress to a xylan-containing material to pulverize to obtain xylan-containing pulverized products, a step (2) of heat-treating the xylan-containing pulverized products obtained in the step (1), in the presence of water and within a temperature range of ≥165°C and ≤195°C, and a step (3) of obtaining a liquid part from the heat-treated product obtained in the step (2), by solid liquid separation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
