PLATINUM CORE SHELL CATALYST, MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME, AND FUEL CELL USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep platinum which is a shell from forming a solid solution with a core in a platinum core shell catalyst, and improving durability of the platinum core shell catalyst.

SOLUTION: The platinum core shell catalyst for a fuel cell comprises: a core containing gold and platinum; and a platinum shell formed on an outer layer of the core. A particle diameter of the AuPt core is preferably 1 to 5 nm. Also the AuPt core is preferably carried by a carrier composed of a carbonaceous material.
