<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin container lid (2) which does not require an excessive initial torque in opening the lid and prevents excessive thread engagement between male threads (48) and female threads (38) even when it is used on the mouth (46) of a container filled with a carbonated drink, and further has a sufficient drop impact resistance. <P>SOLUTION: An abutment rib (12) formed on the inside face of a top face wall (4) has a horizontal contact bottom face (22) with a radial width of 0.2 to 0.4 mm. An annular recess (24) is formed in an annular area adjoining an inner seal piece (8) on the top face wall and residing inside in a radial direction of the inner seal piece and the thickness of the top face wall is partially reduced to a thickness T1. The thickness T2 in the annular area between the abutment rib and the inner seal piece on the top face wall is larger than the thickness T1, the thickness T3 in the annular area between an outer seal piece (10) and the abutment rib on the top face wall is larger than the thickness T2 and the thickness T4 in the annular area outside of the outer seal piece on the top face wall is larger than the thickness T3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
