<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition improved in the reactivity of a coupling agent with a rubber component and excellent in a low heat-generating property; and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises a rubber component (A), a filler containing an inorganic filler (B), a silane coupling agent (C), and an organic aluminum compound (D) represented by general formula (I), wherein, R<SP POS="POST">a</SP>is a substituent selected from alkyl, alkenyl and aryl, or H; R<SP POS="POST">b</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">c</SP>are each identically or differently a substituent selected from alkyl, halogenated alkyl and aryl; n is an integer of 1-3.
