<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus able to prevent crack or break of a support shaft of a drive transmitted part of a fixing unit. <P>SOLUTION: When the fixing unit 18 is inserted into the casing 20 of an image forming part 14 and arranged in the mounted position thereof, a projecting part 62 is inserted into the hole 43 of a support shaft 41 of the fixing unit 18. Consequently, the base part 44 of the support shaft 41 is supported by a side frame 35. Also, the leading end part 45 of the support shaft 41 is supported by the projecting part 62 of a support shaft 75. As a result, the support shaft 41 of the fixing unit 18 is supported by both the base part 44 and the leading end part 45, crack or break of the support shaft 41 is prevented even if excessive rotation load is applied on a fixing roller 38. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
