<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection cap which allows parts for protecting respective front ends of a plurality of ferrules to be collectively attached to an optical connector including the plurality of ferrules. <P>SOLUTION: A protection cap 1 is to be attached to an optical connector 2 including a plurality of ferrules 4 and a housing portion 211 surrounding the ferrules 4 so as to form spaces 22 around respective ferrules 4 and includes: a cover portion 11 which faces front ends of the ferrules 4 and is applied to a front end of the housing portion 211; a cylindrical outer cap portion 12 which is attached to the housing portion 211 in a state of covering the outside of the housing portion 211 and extends to the cover portion 11; and a plurality of cylindrical inner cap portions 13 which surround the front ends of respective ferrules 4 in a state of being inserted into respective spaces 22 and extend to the cover portion 11 in a state of being located inward of the outer cap 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
