The invention relates to logging industry, namely to small-sized vehicles for transport of round timber (half-sticks, assortments) under conditions of a cutting area. Object of the invention is to facilitate process of loading round timber (half-sticks, assortments) on a cart, increasing its maneuverability and providing self-locking when driving with a load down the hill in order to avoid a collision with a tractor. The problem is solved by the use of a specially designed cart on sled runners equipped with a loading mechanism for round wood and a self-locking mechanism. The cart consists of a U-shaped frame, two sled runners, a winch, two arms, a hinge with a coupling device, holding chains, a hauling chain and a linking chain. The frame is mounted on ball bearings, which are placed in seats of supporting pads and fixed by detachable lids. On each rack of U-shaped frame in the point attachment thereto of holding chains a sliding sleeve is installed, which freely rotates around the rack together with the holding chains when the runners turn. |
