<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of improving the deterioration of image quality in a screen peripheral edge portion due to a light reflecting portion for improving the use efficiency of emission light of a light source, in an image display device narrowing a frame thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 10 includes a liquid crystal panel 11; a light source 22 and a diffusing plate 24 separately provided on the liquid crystal panel 11; a peripheral wall portion 33 externally surrounding a space S between the liquid crystal panel 11 and the diffusing plate 24; optical sheets 25a-25c provided between the liquid crystal panel 11 and the diffusing plate 24, and supported by the diffusing plate 24; and a light reflecting portion 34 having a function of reflecting light, and provided on the peripheral wall portion 33 so as to face the space S. The optical sheet 25c is arranged so as to have a center part 41 supported by the diffusing plate 24 and a peripheral edge part 42 partitioning a back surface 11b of the liquid crystal panel 11 and the light reflecting portion 34 on the liquid crystal panel 11 side rather than the center part 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
