GLOSSY PAPER FOR INKJET RECORDING AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glossy paper for inkjet recording having high surface glossiness and excellent image reproducibility, and a method for manufacturing the glossy paper.

SOLUTION: In the glossy paper for inkjet recording, one or more coated layers are formed on at least one surface of a paper base material, and the uppermost coated layer is a gloss developing layer. The gloss developing layer includes (A) either one or both of polyvinyl alcohol and modified polyvinyl alcohol, (B) alginic acid alkali metal salt and (C) a cationic substance. (C) is a cationic substance different from (A) and (B).
