<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control electric current supplied to a light-emitting device, without a need for a data signal in fine precision. <P>SOLUTION: Retention volumes 44, 50 are arranged corresponding to a data line 14 of each column. A pixel circuit 110 includes: a transistor 121 for supplying electric current according to gate-source voltage; and a transistor 122 for turning on or off between an OLED 130, and the data line 14 and a gate node g according to the electric current supplied by the transistor 121. In an initialization period, the transistor 121 is turned on to supply initial potential Vini to the data line 14. In a write-in period, while the transistor 122 is turned on, a data signal of electric potential according to a gradation level is supplied to another end of a node h of the retention volume 44.
