<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing unit structure for supporting a wheel, which has an outer race constituted by combining a ferrous alloy and a light alloy, and is capable of reducing its weight while ensuring the required strength and rigidity by devising the shape of a body part formed of the light alloy. <P>SOLUTION: The weight of an outer race 6a is reduced by forming recesses 32, 32 in a plurality of parts in the circumferential direction of an inner side surface in the axial direction of a stationary side flange 12a formed on an outer circumferential surface of a body part 28.
