<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To substantially remove artifacts in circular cone beam computer tomography (CT). <P>SOLUTION: A method for correcting cone beam artifacts in circular computer tomography CT includes: (a) a step of reconstructing a reference image from actually measured projection data at a predetermined circular radiation source trajectory; (b) a step of generating projection data by performing forward projection of the reference image according to a theoretically complete circular trajectory corresponding to the circular radiation source trajectory; (c) a step of reconstructing a correction image from the generated projection data; and (d) a step of substantially reducing the cone beam artifacts by generating a final image with the use of the reference image and the correction image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
