WATER TREATMENT UNIT, AND WATER TREATMENT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment unit capable of enhancing the removing efficiency of sugars, and a water treatment apparatus.

SOLUTION: The water treatment unit 3 can be used in the water treatment apparatus performing water treatment using a reverse osmosis membrane. This water treatment unit 3 is equipped with a casing 30, the separation membrane 31 mounted in the casing 30 to be bent into a pleated shape, the reinforcing member mounted on the separation membrane 31 to reinforce the separation membrane 31, a rotary mechanism 42 for rotating the separation membrane 31 and a washing apparatus 41 capable of washing the separation membrane 31. The separation membrane 31 has a large number of island parts and a large number of the fibrous parts extending from the island parts and finer than the island parts and the area of the fibrous parts on the surface of the separation membrane 31 is made larger than that of the island parts. The water treatment apparatus is equipped with the first water treatment unit having the constitution and capable of applying pretreatment to water to be treated and a second water treatment unit capable of applying main treatment to the water to be treated.
