<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus including a distortion correction range calculating section, which is capable of correctly calculating an input range suitable for each of magnification chromatic aberration correction and distortion aberration correction on a single activation even in a case where the magnification chromatic aberration correction and the distortion aberration correction are constituted separately in a single pipeline, and an image processing method. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: an image processing pipeline, in which at least a magnification chromatic aberration correction processing section which corrects magnification chromatic aberration of an imaging optical system, a distortion aberration correction processing section which corrects distortion aberration of the imaging optical system, and an image processing section which performs image processing on image data after the magnification chromatic aberration correction and outputs the data to the distortion aberration correction processing section are constituted by a single pipeline; a sequencer which controls each constituent element; and a distortion correction range calculating section which calculates a distortion aberration correction input range based on a previously set distortion aberration correction output range and a distortion aberration correction coordinate conversion coefficient and furthermore calculates a magnification chromatic aberration correction input range based on the calculated distortion aberration correction input range, an image processing margin and a magnification chromatic aberration correction coordinate conversion coefficient which are previously set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
