<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of easily removing toner firmly adhering to a contact face of a separation pawl. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a fixing surface side member that contacts an image formation surface of paper, on which a toner image is formed by an image forming unit; a back side support member that is pressed against the fixing surface side member and contacts the back of the paper; a heat source that supplies heat to the paper via the fixing surface side member; and a separation pawl that contacts the fixing surface side member or the back side support member on the downstream side in a paper conveyance direction from a nip part formed by the fixing surface side member and the back side support member, and causes the paper having passed through the nip part to separate from the fixing surface side member or the back side support member. The separation pawl is composed of a plurality of members and the state of its contact face with the fixing surface side member or the back side support member changes from the first state, which is flush, to a second state, which has a level difference. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
