<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify peptide with high accuracy even when the peptide cannot be identified by MS/MS ion search or de novo sequencing. <P>SOLUTION: Though information volume for MS<SP POS="POST">n</SP>spectra of precursor ions with low m/z is less, an amino acid sequence can be estimated with high reliability by de novo sequencing. Thereby, an MS<SP POS="POST">n</SP>spectrum of a precursor ion whose m/z is 500 or less is intentionally acquired (S2-S6) and de novo sequencing for the spectrum is executed to estimate an amino acid sequence from the m/z of the precursor ion up to m/z=0. Then, a sequence tag is generated by using the estimated amino acid sequence, the precursor ion m/z of MS<SP POS="POST">n</SP>analysis and the precursor ion m/z of MS<SP POS="POST">2</SP>analysis (S7). Since the tag has high reliability and correct peptide can be retrieved without any error if the tag is accurate, peptide identification or candidate narrowing can be performed with high accuracy (S8). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
