METHOD OF PREVENTING FORMATION OF IRON SCALE IN WATER-SIDE CAN OF STEAM GENERATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preventing formation of iron scale in the water-side can of boilers which prevents energy loss due to adhesion of iron carried through water supply to the heat transfer surface, enables high-concentration operation with blow water reduced and attempts reduction of the energy cost by recovering thermal energy through recovery of iron-containing drain.

SOLUTION: The method of preventing formation of iron scale in the water-side can of a steam generator of a boiler and/or other steam generating equipment includes adding a calcium ion forming agent and a water-soluble polymer having carboxyl groups.
