<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope allowing the removal of a mucous tissue having adhered to a treatment device without pulling out the treatment device from a treatment device insertion channel, and allowing reliable removal of foreign matter having adhered to the treatment device. <P>SOLUTION: The endoscope includes a treatment device opening portion 25 at in the distal end part of an insertion portion having at least an imaging portion, and includes the channel 25a communicating with the opening portion 25, and allowing insertion/extraction of the treatment device 31.
