<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission which has high efficiency in transmitting output rotations of a variator to an output shaft with the reduced number of engagement, in a power transmission mode (direct connection mode) during which the rotations of the variator are taken out as they are, and which can be made compact and light, and is inexpensive. <P>SOLUTION: In a continuously variable transmission 1A, an output gear 12 and the sun gear 22 of a differential planetary gear mechanism 3b are directly connected only by a counter shaft 14 including counter gears 13, 15 at both ends. In a direct connection mode that is a power transmission mode during which the rotations of a variator 2 are taken out as they are, output rotations of the variator 2 are transmitted to an output shaft 27 (with the reduced number of engagement by omitting an idle gear part) only via the counter shaft 14 in parallel with the variator 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
