EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purification system which can suppress occurrences of cracks of a DPF caused by temperature unevenness inside the DPF on the assumption that the DPF is regenerated by adding unburned fuel to an exhaust gas on the upstream side of an oxidation catalyst.

SOLUTION: The exhaust gas purification system 1 includes: a fuel adding device 13 for adding unburned fuel to an exhaust gas; an oxidation catalyst 15 disposed in the downstream of the fuel adding device 13 for purifying the exhaust gas; and a DPF 17 disposed in the downstream of the oxidation catalyst 15 for capturing particulate matter. The exhaust gas purification system 1 pauses addition of the unburned fuel of the fuel adding device based on an HC slipping-out amount in which HC included in the exhaust gas upon addition of the unburned fuel slips-out the oxidation catalyst.
