<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a residual capacity of an external medium in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: An information recording device includes: a mounting unit on which a removable recording medium having a semiconductor memory is mounted; a recording unit that records recording information in the recording medium; and a storage unit that stores identification information consisting of an identification code of the recording medium and data representing a file structure and capacity information of the recording medium, by making them associated with each other and, when the capacity information of the recording medium is changed, updates the capacity information of the recording medium. The control unit determines whether or not the identification information of the recording medium to be mounted matches the identification information stored in the storage unit and, when it matches therewith, acquires the capacity information from the storage unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
