<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly edit master data of an electronic comic comprising an image file for each page of the comic and an information file containing frame information including frame area information of each frame in a page, and particularly to easily edit the frame area information. <P>SOLUTION: Frame area information is stored in an information file when a contrast image is analyzed and frame division is performed. Frame boundaries are superimposed on the contrast image and displayed on the basis of the information file. This enables the present frame division to be confirmed. By directing to add a new frame boundary to a position indicated via an operation unit, or by directing to delete the frame boundary at the position indicated via the operation unit, a user can easily add or delete the frame boundary.
