<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric compressor capable of reducing refrigerant intake resistance, improving performance and reliability, and being composed at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The electric compressor is provided with a machine container 3 which houses a compression mechanism section 5 and an electric motor 4 that drives the compression mechanism section 5, and an inverter case 6 which houses an inverter 7 that drives the electric motor 4. The inverter case 6 and a fixed scroll 11 forms an intake chamber 28 and a discharging chamber 30 of the fixed scroll 11 is formed at a part of the intake chamber. The discharging chamber 30 is formed by screwing a cylindrical section 36a of a cover body 36 into the fixed scroll. By this, a bolt for fixing a cover is not required, the intake resistance is reduced and the performance and the reliability are improved, and the compressor is provided at a low cost. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
