The embodiments of the present invention provide a data packet sending method and a radio access network device. The method comprises: a radio access network device receiving a data packet sent by a core network device; obtaining a duration when the data packet is buffered in the radio access network device; and if the duration when the data packet is buffered is greater than or equal to a preset wait duration threshold, transiting a UE in a CELL_FACH state corresponding to the data packet to a CELL_DCH state, and sending the data packet to the UE transited to the CELL_DCH state. By means of the technical solution of the present invention, when congestion occurs to the FACH, the UE is enabled to obtain the data packet in real time and perform services normally, thereby improving the user experience. |
