CASD1 GENE FROM CAPSICUM ANNUUM AND USES THEREOF

PURPOSE: A Capsicum annuum-derived CaSD1(Capsicum annuum senescence-delaying 1) gene is provided to enhance expression of the gene by pathogen inoculation and treatment of defense-related signal transduction molecule, and to delay aging. CONSTITUTION: A Capsicum annuum-derived CaSD1 protein which is related to disease resistance enhancement or aging delay contains an amino acid sequence of sequence number 2. A gene for encoding the protein contains a base sequence of sequence number 1. A recombinant vector contains the gene. A host cell is transformed with the recombinant vector. A composition for enhancing diseases resistance in a plant contains the gene. The plant diseases are viral diseases or bacterial diseases. A composition for delaying aging in a plant contains the gene.
