The present invention relates to a dehumidifier having a drying compartment for garments. The technical aim of the present invention is to provide a dehumidifying unit and a drying unit in one apparatus in order to promote dehumidification and further use hot air generated by the heat exchanger during dehumidification to dry garments (underwear, towels, shoes, and the like). The dehumidifier has a separate filter member, which is easy to replace and clean, and which is detachably coupled to the front surface thereof so as to make maintenance convenient for a user. A two-way pipe-shaped water passage formed at the bottom of the drying compartment is capable of making a selection for condensed liquid processing from between tank holding-type and continuous discharge-type processing according to the amount of condensed liquid stored. A primary and secondary water level adjusting sensor formed inside a water tank accurately determine the amount of condensed liquid that is stored, and can prevent accidents from occurring. In particular, an anion generator, a lamp for generating ultraviolet rays, and/or an LED device for generating far infrared rays is further installed on the drying unit formed on one side of the dehumidifying unit so as to promote the sterilization, disinfection, deodorization, and cleaning of a wide variety of garments that are hung or placed thereon.
