Provided are multi-sided adhesive systems and methods of using multi-sided adhesive systems, e.g., in medical device applications such as analyte monitoring. Embodiments include systems that have a first high tack side separated by a second low tack side with a substrate, and at least one peel initiating point about at least a portion of a perimeter of the systems that starts the peeling process of the low tack side at the peel initiating point(s) prior to the peeling of the other portions of the low tack side.
