PURPOSE: A transparent electrode including a polymer protective film and a silver nanowire network and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance optical transmittance by enabling smooth transport of electrons. CONSTITUTION: A silver nanowire network layer is formed on a transparent substrate. A polymer protective film is formed on the network layer. The network layer includes a network of nanowires. The nanowires are bonded or crossed with other silver nanowires. A nanowire is connected to the other nanowire at least in more than one point.
