摘要 The invention relates to a method for decarbonisation of metal carbonate MeCO3 comprising into metal oxide MeO and carbon dioxide CO2: fluidizing MeCO3 in a fluidized bed reactor using CO2 rich exhaust gas stream from an oxy combustion process to produce a MeO rich stream and a CO2 rich stream; heating the MeCO3 to a temperature for decarbonisation of the metal carbonate MeCO3 into metal oxide MeO and carbon dioxide CO2; wherein the temperature is corresponding to the equilibrium pressure of carbon dioxide CO2; providing residence time for said metal carbonate MeCO3 required for said decarbonisation into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide; adjusting the partial pressure of carbon dioxide; transporting a metal carbonate MeCO3 stream to the fluidized bed reactor for decarbonisation by a circulating fluidized bed (CFB); and separating carbon dioxide CO2 from the metal carbonate MeCO3 stream to form metal carbonate MeCO3 rich stream before its decarbonisation in the fluidized bed reactor. The invention relates also to a system 1 for decarbonisation of metal carbonates into metal oxides and carbon dioxide.
