[Problem] To provide an information processing device wherein it is possible to use applications capable of being seamlessly executed across the channels of different broadcast stations. [Solution] A set of identification information "common" shared by all providers providing applications can be set as an organization ID for identifying the providers. Additionally, when the shared identification information "common" is set as the organization ID for an acquired XML-AIT, an application controller (508) ensures that the application corresponding to the XML-AIT is set to a state where said application can be launched on the basis of the organization ID. As a consequence, it is possible to use applications capable of being seamlessly executed across the channels of different broadcast stations, an example of such applications including an application for surveying the viewer rating.
