PURPOSE: A multi-touch recognition method of a touch button on a touch screen, a character input method thereof, and an object variation method thereof are provided to input a character assigned to a target button and additional specific characters, thereby improving character input speed. CONSTITUTION: A keyboard in which buttons exist is displayed on a touch screen. Characters are assigned to the buttons. A character of a specific sequence number among characters, which are assigned to the buttons recognized as a target button, is inputted. A sequence number of the inputted character is determined corresponding to an operation after the multi-touch. When a drag direction is different, an operation kind is differently recognized after the multi-touch.
