The present invention relates to an information packet transmitting and receiving method and device in an IBSS system, the information packet receiving method in the IBSS system comprising: receiving a first field in an IBSS information packet, the first field comprising the first partial address information of a receiving terminal; matching the second partial address information of the IBSS system with the first partial address information; if the matching succeeds, then continuing the reception of a second field in the IBSS information packet, the second field comprising the first address information of the receiving terminal; matching the second partial address information of the IBSS system with the first address information, if the matching fails, then aborting the reception of the IBSS information packet, and if the matching succeeds, then continuing the reception of the IBSS information packet. An embodiment of the present invention can conduct partial matching after receiving the first field of the IBSS information packet, and if the matching fails, the reception of the information packet can be aborted without the need to receive the second field, thus saving processing time, simplifying the processing procedure and effectively reducing power consumption.
