PURPOSE: Intelligent charge management method and device for an electric vehicle are provided to prevent overheating by determining and providing a rechargeable time. CONSTITUTION: A request for recharge of an electric vehicle is received(S110). A load factor of a power facility in which the electric vehicle is located(S120). A power demand pattern of the region is confirmed(S130). The total number of the electric vehicles requesting current recharge in the region is confirmed(S140). A rechargeable time of the electric vehicle in consideration of the total number is calculated(S150).
