WASTE-HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM

This waste-heat recovery system is provided with the following: a Rankine-cycle circuit comprising a pump, a boiler, an expander, and a condenser; a temperature sensor that detects the temperature of a working fluid at the downstream exit of the boiler; a bypass channel that bypasses the expander; an on/off valve provided in the bypass channel; and a controller. The controller closes the on/off valve when the engine is running but the output from the expander is not needed. The controller also has the pump adjust the flow rate thereof so as to bring the temperature of the working fluid to or below a first prescribed temperature.
