摘要 Provided is a pillar structure that minimizes pillar failure and prevents the pillar from collapsing towards front seats in a side collision. The following are formed in an inner-panel-opening top part (9): a front connecting flange (9a) and rear connecting flange (9c) connected to an outer panel (6); a front protruding section (9b) and rear protruding section (9d) that protrude towards the interior of the vehicle from the front connecting flange (9a) and rear connecting flange (9c); a front angled section (9e) that is angled rearwards and outwards, with respect to the vehicle, from the rear end of the front protruding section (9b) in the front/back direction of the vehicle; a rear angled section (9f) that is angled forwards and outwards, with respect to the vehicle, from the front end of the rear protruding section (9d) in the front/back direction of the vehicle; and a retractor connecting section (9g), disposed between the outer end of the front angled section (9e) and the outer end of the rear angled section (9f), to which a top connecting part (12) of a retractor (11) is connected. The angle of the rear angled section (9f) is shallower than that of the front angled section (9e).
