Box for transport of objects consisting of a lower part (11), an in-between part (12) of flexible material and an upper part (13), where the volume of the box (10) can be changed between a retracted position with a smaller volume, when the box (10) is not in use, and an expanded position with a larger volume, when the box (10) is in use. The upper part (13) of the box (10) is held in the expanded position and guided between the positions, retracted position and expanded position, by supports (23) arranged within the box (10). The supports (23) have link mechanisms (24) which move towards the centre of the box (10) when the upper part (13) of the box (10) is moved from the expanded position to the retracted position. The in-between part (11) of the box (10) on the two opposite sides which are forward and rearward have pulling straps (33) arranged in holding arrangements (32) where the pulling straps (33) are arranged at an equal distance from the free edges (18) on the lower part (11) of the box (10) and the free edges (20) on the upper part (13) of the box (10). The free ends (35) of the pulling straps (33) are attached to two opposite supports (23) in the vicinity of the link mechanisms (24), so that the in-between part (12) is pulled towards the centre of the box (10) and folded together within the box (10), when the upper part (13) is moved from the expanded position to the retracted position.
