The present invention provides a video monitoring method, device, and system. The method comprises the following steps: receiving video information obtained by a video monitoring device and geographic location information of the video monitoring device; storing the video information and the geographic location information of the video monitoring device; sending the geographic location information to a client; and displaying the position of the video monitoring device on the client according to the geographic location information. The video monitoring device of the present invention can obtain its own geographic location information and transmit the information to the client, so that the client knows about the geographic location of the video monitoring device precisely in real time, thereby avoiding complexity of manual operation and significantly reducing the workload of the project in implementation and maintenance.
