PURPOSE: A light emitting device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase the quantity of light by refracting the light which is inputted to or outputted from a substrate. CONSTITUTION: A first electrode(120) is arranged on a substrate(110). A light emitting unit(140) is arranged on the first electrode. A second electrode(150) is arranged on the light emitting unit. A light refracting unit(200) refracts light from the light emitting unit to the substrate. The light refracting unit includes a first light refracting part(210) on a light output surface(111) of the substrate and a second refracting unit(220) on a light input surface(112) of the substrate. The light refracting unit is composed of a lens which outwardly protrudes from the light output surface of the substrate.
