Provided is an inverter device having the arrangement of each member therein optimized, and achieving increased compactness. A rotating electrical machine connection terminal (25) is arranged on a short side first direction (X1) side relative to a switching element (14); a capacitor (31) is arranged so as to overlap the rotating electrical machine connection terminal (25) when viewed in the orthogonal direction (Z); and a capacitor connection terminal (33) electrically connecting the capacitor (31) and the switching element (14) is arranged on a short side second direction (X2) side, relative to a base plate (11).
