<p>This vehicle upper-body structure has a pillar-reinforcement member (30) that connects the upper part of a pillar member (10) to a roof-reinforcement member (20) and reinforces same. This vehicle-body upper structure is provided with at least one latch part (hook-shaped member (32)) that latches onto and holds the roof-reinforcement member (20) when the pillar-reinforcement member (30) deforms due to an external load (F). Said latch part is part of the pillar-reinforcement member (30) and is provided so as to penetrate the roof-reinforcement member (20). Since the latch part latches onto and holds the roof-reinforcement member (20) when the pillar-reinforcement member (30) deforms due to an external load (F), this vehicle-body upper structure improves the efficiency of load transmission from the pillar-reinforcement member (30) to the roof-reinforcement member (20).
