The present invention relates to the field of hydraulics engineering, in particular to the compensation of pressure fluctuations in a hydraulic system (10). The device (2) according to the invention uses an actively controllable actuator element (18) by means of which a first fluid pressure (14a) in a fluid line (10), said first fluid pressure in particular having a dynamically fluctuating pressure component (16b), is compensated such that substantially the constant line pressure (16a) remains in the fluid line (10) after the passage of the latter through the device (2) according to the invention. Here, the device (2) is of balanced configuration such that it is not subjected to load by a constant line pressure (16a).
