Disclosed are a method for capacity expansion and commissioning of a wavelength multiplexing optical network, and a controller, belonging to the field of optical communications. The method includes: calculating an initial power of a wavelength service to be added according to predetermined rules and newly adding one or more wavelength services according to the initial power; detecting the power of each of the newly added wavelength services during transmission, and calculating the target power of each of the newly added wavelength services according to a detection value and the initial power respectively; calculating the end-to-end performance of an existing wavelength service and the end-to-end performance of each of the newly added wavelength services when each of the newly added wavelength services reaches the target power thereof; when each of the newly added wavelength services reaches the target power thereof and the end-to-end performance of the existing wavelength service and the end-to-end performance of each of the newly added wavelength services both can meet the lowest threshold requirements thereof, adjusting the power of each of the newly added wavelength services. The present invention enables a newly added wavelength service not to affect the performance of the existing wavelength services in a network, and thus the commissioning efficiency can be improved effectively. |
