MOBILE COMMUNICATION METHOD

A mobile communication method is applied to a mobile communication system containing a general base station for managing a general cell, and a specific base station for managing a specific cell having a cover area that is narrower than the cover area of the general cell. Distance (LMIN) represents the distance between the general base station and the edge of the coverage area of the specific cell that is closest to the general base station. Distance (LMAX) represents the distance between the general base station and the edge of the coverage area of the specific cell that is farthest from the general base station. The mobile communication method involves a step (A) in which a hand over command to switch to a frequency that is different from the frequency used by the specific cell is sent from the general base station to a general mobile terminal located within a band-shaped annular region representing the range from distance (LMIN) to distance (LMAX), the general mobile terminal being a mobile terminal connected to the general cell.
