Disclosed are a colour wheel assembly, a light source system (100) and a projecting device. The light source system comprises a light source of an exciting light (101) and a colour wheel assembly. The colour wheel assembly comprises a first colour wheel (104) and a second colour wheel (106). The light source of the exciting light is used to produce the exciting light. The first colour wheel is provided with a primary wavelength conversion material which converts the wavelength of the exciting light into a primary excited light. The second colour wheel is provided with a secondary wavelength conversion material which converts the wavelength of the primary excited light into a secondary excited light. The secondary excitation in the present invention can share heat load, and improve the conversion efficiency of the system.
