FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of separating glyoxylic acid from an aqueous reaction medium which contains glyoxylic acid and hydrochloric acid, which involves a step of distilling the reaction medium in a counter-current with steam to obtain, on one hand, a gaseous phase which contains volatile hydrochloric acid and, on the other hand, a liquid phase which contains purified glyoxylic acid.EFFECT: method enables to considerably reduce residual concentration of hydrochloric acid in the medium.14 cl, 2 ex |
